Our History
Wind River Capital’s roots are its deep expertise at the highest levels of global corporate finance, strategic advisory, and capital markets. Respected financial industry veteran David Olson founded Wind River Capital to provide clients with direct access to highly seasoned, senior experts to help clients successfully navigate growth and change. After spending over 30 years on Wall Street in high-profile management positions and having formerly served as Vice Chairman of the Financial Institutions Group (FIG) at Piper Sandler and Chairman and CEO of Credit Suisse Asia, Olson had a vision for a firm that would deliver high-touch service to clients and help them benefit from a deep network of contacts to achieve their objectives.
Olson then handpicked an elite force of advisors with decades of experience to work alongside him to provide clients a 360 degree view of the important corporate issues they face during times of transition, growth and opportunity.
The firm's senior leaders are all highly experienced investment advisors formerly with Credit Suisse, DLJ, Wells Fargo, and Piper Sandler. We are united by a passion for helping clients with the strategic groundwork and tactical execution to achieve their strategic imperatives.
